Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan can be accurately described as a ‘blockbuster’ as it continues to rake in money day in and day out. Fans are not satisfied with watching a film only once, and it is evident from the crowds and collections they see in cinema halls worldwide. After earning Rs 60 crore on its fifth day (Sunday) of its release, the actioner is on its way to delivering the best-ever first-Monday collection.

According to a report in Box Office India, the film earned Rs 25 crore net on its sixth day in theatres. This takes the total domestic collection of the film to around Rs 295 crore. By the end of its seventh day in theatres, Pathan will easily cross the Rs 300 crore mark domestically.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which earned Rs 40.25 crore on its first Monday, leads the list of biggest Mondays for a Hindi language release. It is accompanied by way of Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 36.54 crore), Housefull four (Rs 34.56 crore), Krrish (Rs 33.41 crore), and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 27.05 crore).  After the pandemic, KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) collected over Rs 25 crore at the ticket counters on its first Monday.

Not only in India, fans globally are also in the mood of ‘Never underestimate Shah Rukh Khan’. As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Pathan has earned $25.40 million (Rs 207 crore) at the overseas box office. The movie crossed the Rs 500 crore mark globally on Sunday. 

On Monday, Shah Rukh and Team Pathan, including actors Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, finally addressed the media and celebrated the success of their film with them. Interacting with reporters present at the press meet, SRK talked about feeling ‘terrible’ when his films failed and thanked the film’s director Siddharth Anand for giving him and his family ‘happiness’ with Pathan.

We haven’t felt this happy in a while. Whenever he (Siddharth Anand) wants me to do Pathan 2, I will do it. The success of Pathan at the ticket counters has prompted the makers of Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon-starrer Shehzada to push the release date of the film. Now the film will hit the theaters on February 17 instead of February 11.
